Description

The aim of this degree is to train forest engineers who meet the needs of the forestry sector and of society in general. This degree qualifies graduates to carry out tasks related to the management, conservation and use of natural and forest areas; to carry out hydrology, reforestation and soil conservation works; and to manage hunting and fishing. Graduates will also be professionals with knowledge of the industrial treatment and use of wood and its products, the development of projects for generating renewable energy from forest biomass, quality control of forest products, furniture design and finishing, the development of projects for setting up forest industries, the carrying out of forestry research and technological development projects, etc.

Applicant profile

This is a degree within the Engineering field, so a profile with an interest in technical subjects is recommended; in addition, the degree is oriented towards the timber industry, forestry operations and environmental management, so a special interest in and sensitivity to these matters is recommended when choosing this degree.
