Description
A degree taught at the Defence University School of Marín Maritime Academy. To decide which degree should be taught at the School, the capabilities were defined and the profiles needed for professional practice, which the teaching must serve, were designed. On the basis of those profiles it was determined that the qualification best suited to the training needs of a Navy officer is the official degree in studies related to Industrial Engineering with a mechanical profile.
Applicant profile
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical drawing and computing
- Full capacity for reading, reflection and oral and written communication
- Knowledge of a foreign language (preferably English)
- Inquisitiveness, curiosity and initiative
- Ability to work in a group
- Interest in the degree and in the profession for which it qualifies
In the case of the Defence University School of Marín Maritime Academy, in addition to meeting the entry requirements, applicants must have the following characteristics:
- Identify with moral values and the constitutional order
- Appreciate and show interest in professional matters linked to Defence and Security, and have a vocation for service
- Have a good level of knowledge of the basic sciences: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. It is recommended that the Baccalaureate taken be the Science and Technology track with the scientific-technical option
- Have an adequate level of expression and comprehension in English, both spoken and written, equivalent to Baccalaureate level
- Be in good physical condition, with resistance to fatigue, vitality and a positive attitude towards sport
- Be able to work systematically and in an organised way, with dedication and initiative
- Handle human relations well and adapt easily to group work
- Be creative and resourceful, with an analytical, critical mindset, scientific curiosity and practical sense
Access and admission
Admission to the Defence University School of Marín Maritime Academy is through the annual call of the Ministry of Defence, with entry to the Marín Maritime Academy.
