Description
The Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Technologies Engineering aims to train professionals at the forefront of the technological knowledge and professional skills of telecommunication engineering, allowing students to specialise in one of the four basic technologies that underpin the Information Society: telecommunication systems, electronic systems, telematics, and sound and image. The solid training students acquire gives them the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving sector.
The degree holds the EUR-ACE® accreditation, considered the most prestigious that an engineering degree awarded in Europe can obtain. Sponsored by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), it guarantees the quality of engineering study programmes in Europe.
The internationalisation plan allows students to take the fourth year entirely in English. The degree includes more than 50% practical training, between laboratory work and team projects. The timing of the curriculum is noteworthy, as it makes it easier for students to take part in national and international mobility in the final year or to do internships in companies.
Its distinctive features include: (1) a mentoring programme (MEET-Teleco) that provides transferable skills (group management, time planning, empathy, emotional and social intelligence, leadership, etc.) and helps new students settle into university; (2) a careers guidance programme (OrientaTE) that eases access to the job market in a degree where unemployment is negligible; (3) many activities that allow our students to develop their social skills while consolidating their technical knowledge.
Specialisations
The four professional specialities that lead to the professional competences of Technical Telecommunications Engineering are taught: telecommunication systems, electronic systems, sound and image, and telematics.
