Description

The Bachelor's Degree in Commerce offers teaching centred on the all-round management of companies, bodies and institutions. Commerce graduates will acquire versatile competences that allow them to develop the range of skills needed in an activity of wide recognition and long tradition: entrepreneurship and the all-round management of companies and projects, with special emphasis on aspects such as marketing, operations, trade and logistics; communication and negotiation in international settings in their own language or in foreign languages; management of interdisciplinary and sales teams; import and/or export; key account, product and marketing management; and also accounting and financial management.

Applicant profile

  • Students interested in setting up and managing companies in general and, in particular, in the areas most closely related to business such as marketing, logistics and distribution, import and/or export, and new markets and products. It also covers aspects such as accounting and financial management and human resources
  • The degree is committed to innovation and the use of information and communication technologies (general-purpose software as well as specific business management applications), so a positive attitude among students towards the use of ICT is recommended
  • Managers, advisers and technical staff with a global outlook who contribute to the expansion and internationalisation of companies, so it is advisable for students to be interested in learning foreign languages, using new technologies and innovation. The languages studied during this degree are English and German. Prior knowledge is recommended and, in the case of English, an A2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is recommended. No prior knowledge of German is required
  • Those coming from vocational training programmes such as marketing, foreign trade, etc. can in some cases have up to 30 credits of the Bachelor's Degree in Commerce recognised

Career opportunities

Given the versatility that the Bachelor's Degree in Commerce aims for, the jobs that Commerce graduates can do cover a very wide spectrum at different levels within public and private bodies and institutions. In business, the training allows them to carry out general roles such as head of overall management, or roles linked to the different functional areas of the company, for example sales manager, operations director, head of logistics and distribution, or head of sales, marketing, import and/or export, product, accounting and finance, etc. In the public sphere, it is possible to apply for State technical posts in various areas. In addition, the Bachelor's Degree in Commerce equips graduates to set up and run business projects.
