Description

The Bachelor's Degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering aims to provide the training and competences needed to practise the regulated profession of technical mining engineer. Three technology tracks are offered: “Energy Resources, Fuels and Explosives”, “Mining Operations” and “Mineral Processing and Metallurgy”. The degree provides in-depth training in the exploration and exploitation of mining resources (rocks and minerals, underground spaces, water…). It also provides the right training in the transformation and use of these resources in industry: production and use of metallic materials, steels, polymers and composites. All these activities must be carried out by the future professional safely, profitably and in a way that is compatible with the environment, which is why the curriculum includes cross-cutting subjects in economics and business, safety and risk prevention, and the environment.

Specialisations

  • Energy resources, fuels and explosives
  • Mining operations
  • Mineral processing and metallurgy
