Description
The Bachelor's Degree in Marine Sciences aims to provide scientific and practical preparation for professionals in the marine and coastal field, giving graduates multidisciplinary training applicable to fishing activities, aquaculture, oceanography, the environment and its protection, coastal management and planning, sustainable tourism, new food resources, minerals of industrial interest and renewable energies.
Applicant profile
The recommended prior knowledge for students wishing to study Marine Sciences is that of the science Baccalaureate, in which the four basic scientific disciplines are taught: Biology, Geology, Physics and Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as an aptitude for learning, an entrepreneurial character and at least an introductory level in basic research.
Access and admission
Students from the Baccalaureate (science or technology track) who have passed the university entrance exam (PAU), as well as higher technicians trained in higher vocational training programmes in the science and health tracks. Graduates of other degrees with a scientific-technical profile may also be admitted.
