Description

The Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering provides multidisciplinary training with a solid foundation of scientific and technological skills and knowledge.

This training makes it easier to access and complete the master's studies that, together with this degree, make up an integrated programme of study qualifying graduates for the profession of Industrial Engineer. It provides a multidisciplinary scientific and technological base, with solid, integrative general training in all branches of engineering: mechanical, electrical, energy, electronics, automation, construction and installations, materials, chemical, design, environment, and the organisation and management of projects and companies.

The versatility and adaptability of graduates in this field also allows them to continue their training through other master's degrees, such as those specialising in traditional or emerging areas of knowledge (nanotechnologies, new materials…) or master's degrees oriented towards research and subsequent doctoral studies.

The Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering has essentially two purposes:

  1. To produce versatile, generalist technical professionals with training in physics and mathematics who, despite not having regulated professional competences, would be fully suited to the industrial world in, for example, company R&D departments, positions of responsibility in SMEs, as part of multidisciplinary work teams, or teaching in secondary schools or vocational training programmes.
  2. To give students a solid foundation of scientific and technological skills and knowledge that makes it easier to access and complete master's studies. These may be the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, master's degrees specialising in traditional areas of knowledge (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) or emerging ones (MBA, Bioengineering, Nanotechnologies, New Materials...), or master's degrees oriented towards research and subsequent doctoral studies.
