Description
Traditional training in Mechanical Engineering is geared towards acquiring expertise in solving problems specific to this branch and towards equipping students to adapt to the technological changes they will face during their working lives. This training is thus grounded in essential knowledge of science and engineering such as Physics, Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Statistics and Chemistry. In addition, specific training in Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Thermal Engineering and Fluid Mechanics lays the foundations for more technological subjects.
The specific technological subjects guide students so that they can take part in the activities of their profession. These subjects also stress the importance of considering process integration and the rational use of energy in the design, calculation, analysis, sizing, verification, use and maintenance of machines, processes, vehicles, structures, buildings and installations. Today, in addition to experimental and metrological skills, Mechanical Engineering graduates must have an across-the-board command of the computing techniques that assist their work in different ways and are essential tools. This degree incorporates computer-aided techniques in the different subjects where they are required.
